Trump and McConnell: Vote GOP in 2020 for “phenomenal healthcare”

In an act of desperation in 2018, Trump and the GOP promised to really, really, really repeal Obamacare if voters would just forget about their broken promises to repeal it in 2012, 2014, and 2016 and simply allow them to keep their majority in Congress.

The Blue Tsunami that gave the Democrats the largest midterm victory since Watergate proves how the GOP’s lame attempt to recycle the promise to fix healthcare not only failed … it failed BIGLY!

So, what do you do if you’re Trump and the GOP with 2020 right around the corner? You double down by offering yet another round of healthcare reform promises.

In an exclusive interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, Trump made the bold declaration that he would be announcing a “phenomenal” new healthcare plan within the next two months.

“Obamacare has been a disaster. We’re going to have a plan. That’s subject to winning the House, Senate and presidency, which hopefully we win all three. We’ll have phenomenal healthcare.”

So, how “phenomenal” is Trump’s plan. No one really knows because no such plan exists. But according to White House officials working on it, Trump’s proposal will address affordability, premiums, and protections for pre-existing conditions.

In other words, it will be everything Obamacare promised to be, only now it will be re-gifted — H/T to Seinfeld — and passed off as an original. Maybe the plan to replace Obamacare recently announced by Mitt Romney — considered the pioneer of government-run healthcare — can provide Trump enough cover to fool the voters.

Trump’s non-existent healthcare plan has Mitch McConnell on pins and needles in anxious anticipation at the possibilities. In an interview with Trump’s morning intel team (aka Fox and Friends), McConnell could hardly contain his excitement.

“We’re anxious to see what the president recommends. He has said he’s going to lay a plan out, and he said it would be dealt with after the election when we get a Congress that’s more sympathetic to our approach to healthcare.”

Did you catch that? They’ll fix healthcare … after the election … if Republicans are in control. You couldn’t make this stuff up if you tried.

Repealing Obamacare is only one of the many recycled lies Trump and the GOP are running on in 2020, but it’s been upgraded to a “top priority” just like it was in 2016 when voters gave them everything they’re now asking for again.

Oh, well. At least we don’t have to worry about government-run healthcare, right? On second thought
