President Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is more likely than you might think

Throughout the 2018 campaign season, it became crystal clear that the Democrat Party was moving further to the left as members embraced Marxist-style socialism as a key component in their plan to transform the country into a new United Socialist States of America.

In one primary race after another, radical socialists were victorious at the state and local levels and eventually went on to victory in the November election against the GOP’s “more electable” moderate candidates.

In the midst of this momentum, the Democrat Party began openly promoting ideas to destroy free-market capitalism and replace it with things like guaranteed lifetime government jobs and creating government oversight boards to regulate the pay structure of private companies, particularly CEO compensation.

Along these lines, Sen. Elizabeth Warren introduced the Accountable Capitalism Act, a bill that would result in the largest government seizure of private property in human history. Her bill would place every business earning over $1 billion in revenue under total government control and would give the federal government control of board memberships, compensation practices, personnel policies, and much more.

Since the election, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — a rising star within the Democrat Party and a card-carrying member of “the largest socialist organization” in the U.S. (Democratic Socialists of America) — has used the Democrat’s embrace of socialism as a way to grow her influence within the party. As a disciple of Marxist-inspired socialism — it was the platform for her successful campaign — the New York representative has been working to reshape the Democrat Party into her radical image. And she’s targeting anyone who gets in the way of that goal … even fellow Democrats.

Last month, Ocasio-Cortez formed an alliance with Justice Democrats, a leftist organization dedicated to taking out incumbent Democrats in 2020 who fail to advance the socialist agenda in areas like Medicare For All, free college, the Green New Deal, justice reform, and immigrant rights.

While often ridiculed for her socialist ideals by ignorant Republicans and Democrats who don’t like the competition, Ocasio-Cortez has the makings of someone who could seize this socialist momentum to become the leader of a new generation of voters who are warming up to socialism. For example, after initially facing backlash for proposing a 70 percent tax rate on the wealthy to pay for her Green New Deal, Ocasio-Cortez’s “fair share” proposal now enjoys the support of a significant majority of voters of every political stripe.

The Green New Deal is a radical “green energy” plan that reaches beyond environmentalism to advance much of the non-environmental agenda of the Far-Left in areas like “social, economic, racial, regional, and gender-based justice,” and gives the federal government control of the U.S. economy to make it happen. It also promises to “virtually eliminate poverty in the United States” and “make prosperity, wealth, and economic security available to everyone participating in the transformation.”

Targeting the rich isn’t a passing fancy for the New York Representative. For example, Ocasio-Cortez attended an event honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. yesterday where she stated that billionaires shouldn’t be allowed to exist in a world where Americans live in abject poverty, calling the situation “immoral.”

Socialism is a trend within the Democrat party is growing in acceptance with an increasing number of Americans, and it has created an environment where Ocasio-Cortez could become president. She’s still too young to run at age 29, but a recent poll of Democrats and left-leaning voters showed that 74 percent of respondents want her to run when she’s eligible at age 35.

Meanwhile, Trumpservatism and Conservative Socialism is all the GOP has to offer anymore, so the idea of a President Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in the White House in 2024 isn’t as far-fetched as you might believe.
