National School Boards Association issues fake apology for labeling parents ‘domestic terrorists’

The National School Boards Association (NSBA) issued a fake apology last week for sending a letter to Joe Biden that labeled parents who were protesting school policies regarding issues like mask mandates, vaccine mandates, Critical Race Theory, and remote learning as “domestic terrorists” deserving prosecution under the PATRIOT Act.

The NSBA apology is a fake apology because they worked in tandem with the White House to create the letter labeling concerned parents as “domestic terrorists” in the first place in order to give the Department of Justice (DOJ) the opportunity it needs to advance Joe Biden’s war against free speech — a war that has been going on for many months.

In his first address to a Joint Session of Congress back in April, Biden blamed the rise of terrorism on “white supremacists” and “militia groups”:

“They take on a variety of forms, from lone actors and small groups of informally aligned individuals, to networks exhorting and targeting violence toward specific communities, to violent self-proclaimed ‘militias’ who, despite legal prohibitions in all fifty states against certain private militia activity, assert a baseless right to take the law into their own hands.” (emphasis mine)

Then, as now, Biden’s police state agenda has been lumping people who believe in small government and limiting its power with terrorism; most likely something he learned from the man he used to work for — Barack Hussein Obama.

And it was two months ago that Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a terrorism threat advisory specifically targeting the dissenting voices of people exercising their God-given, constitutionally protected right to free speech to protest government — calling them “terrorists” and pushers of “anti-government rhetoric.”

The NSBA letter labeling concerned-parents as “domestic terrorists” was the most recent assault launched by the Biden administration, which is why he collaborated with his public school bureaucrat buddies to make sure it fit his terrorism rhetoric (via Christianity Daily):

A set of newly publicized emails showed how the National School Boards Association (NSBA) was in fact in talks with Biden administration officials as they crafted a letter seeking federal protection against anti-critical race theory parents, which the school boards association labeled a source of “domestic terrorism.” The emails were obtained by advocacy group Parents Defending Education following a Freedom of Information Act.

According to the Christian Post, the emails proved just how NSBA leadership had “been engaged with the White House for several weeks” before the release of the letter on September 29, during which it made headlines for calling anti-crt parents “domestic terrorists.” The letter called upon the U.S. Department of Justice to mobilize the FBI among other law enforcement agencies to address alleged “threats and acts of violence against public schoolchildren, public school board members, and other public school district officials and educators.”

Among the publicized emails was one dated October 2, in which NSBA President Viola Garcia told members of the group’s board of directors that “NSBA has been engaged with the White House and the Department of Education on these and other issues related to the pandemic for several weeks now.”

Another email dated September 29, an email addressed to members of the NSBA Board of Directors from Interim Executive Director Chip Slaven remarked that in the discussion in the last several weeks, White House staff had “requested additional information on some of the specific threats.” (emphasis mine)

After hammering out the details to Biden’s liking, the letter was delivered to the White House on September 29. Five days later, Merrick Garland issued a memorandum announcing plans to launch a series of efforts designed to address the rise in “criminal conduct” directed toward school personnel, including the creation of an FBI-led task force.

As it turns out, even the fake “apology” letter was most likely the product of a joint effort between the NSBA and the Biden administration.

In an interesting bit of timing that I’m sure he will say is purely a coincidence, Merrick Garland appeared before the House Judiciary Committee one day before the apology letter was released where, using some classic Washington doublespeak, he made a lame attempt to distance himself from the National School Boards Association and their use of the words “domestic terrorists” to describe parents exercising their free speech rights (via FOX News):

Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday denied claims that the Justice Department (DOJ) would label parents as domestic terrorists following an Oct. 4 memorandum he sent to DOJ employees about intervening in incidents of violence or intimidation targeting state and local school board officials.

“I want to be clear. The Justice Department supports and defends the First Amendment right of parents to complain as vociferously as they wish about the education of their children, about the curriculum taught in the schools. That is not what the memorandum is about at all, nor does it use the words ‘domestic terrorism’ or ‘PATRIOT Act,’” Garland said before the House Judiciary Committee.

Garland added that he “can’t imagine any circumstance in which the Patriot Act would be used in the circumstances of parents complaining about their children,” nor any circumstance in which those instances “would be labeled as domestic terrorism.”

If Garland’s memorandum wasn’t motivated by the PATRIOT Act and domestic terrorism, then why did the Biden administration ensure that those words were included in the NSBA’s September letter? And why did Garland feel the need to create an FBI-led task force?

Accusing anyone who rejects Biden’s open promotion of Critical Race Theory, Marxism, and the teaching of anti-white racism in public schools of harboring “racial or ethnic bigotry and hatred” is standard operating procedure for the far-left, but targeting parents who oppose teaching these things to their children as “domestic terrorists” is a serious threat to our God-given rights and the Constitution written to protect them.

Joe Biden has been at war against against free speech and pretty much the rest of the Bill of Rights from the day he took his oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and his collaboration with the National School Boards Association targeting parents is the latest example of how he has broken that oath.

That’s why the NSBA apology for labeling concerned parents as “domestic terrorists” is fake — designed to be little more than a deceptive ploy to hide the truth.
