Conservative Comedy Friday – 5/11/18

As John McCain might say, “Allahu Akbar It’s Friday!”

I haven’t done this in a while, but with the heavy nature of politics today along with the endless verbal assaults and threats of physical violence from liberals and the Trump cult (but I repeat myself), I’m taking a break from the daily routine to spend some time laughing at the absurdity of it all.

One of my favorites for political song parodies is Remy at Reason TV. With election season heating up and the Republicans donning their conservative garb in an effort to save their butts, I thought we should take a look back at one of the promises they fed us in 2016. Sadly, as Remy reminds us in this parody of “I Like it, I Love it,” the GOP can only be counted on for one thing . . . breaking their promise. It’s hilarious!

In that same spirit, here’s a video of Christian comedian Tim Hawkins doing a parody I usually share around April 15th. In this classic video, Tim shows us how the government has made itself the provider of goodies to the tune of “Candy Man.” For more clean comedy, follow Tim Hawkins at his YouTube channel.

I also enjoy the folks at Songify The News by schmoyoho. In this edition, they take a musical look at Donald Trump’s recent announcement about building a new branch of the Armed Forces, a “Space Force.”

Have a great weekend!
