Let’s call reparations what they really are: Anti-white racism

reparations anti-white racism

The Judiciary Committee in the House of Representatives voted last week to create a commission to study reparations. And while reparations are allegedly needed as a way for the U.S. to formally apologize for slavery and its alleged lingering impacts, the reality is they are nothing more than government-sanctioned, taxpayer-financed, anti-white racism.

If approved, the reparations commission would have 13 members: three selected by President Joe Biden, three by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), one by the Senate President Pro Tem Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), and six from civic groups.

In the past, Biden has taken a hands-off approach to reparations but that was before Barack Obama endorsed them earlier this year — he who used to oppose them — which is why White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the administration would “certainly support a study” into the issue.

In September 2016, the UN released a report demanding that the U.S. provide reparations to African-Americans due to the history of slavery in America and the link slavery allegedly had to modern injustices against black America.

“In particular, the legacy of colonial history, enslavement, racial subordination and segregation, racial terrorism and racial inequality in the United States remains a serious challenge, as there has been no real commitment to reparations and to truth and to reconciliation for people of African descent.

Contemporary police killings and the trauma that they create are reminiscent of the past racial terror of lynching.” (emphasis mine)

However, the motivation behind the 2021 edition of reparations has little to do with history, and everything to do with the growing acceptance of anti-white racism and redistributing the wealth.

In November 2015, the Afrikan Black Coalition — a group founded in 2003 to connect activists across the University of California system — blamed “white America” for the injustices “black folks” have suffered under a document written by “white men” and called for a new Constitution that serves “the interests of black people.” Oh, and if they didn’t get one, white America would get “the bullet.”

“The Constitution and all the evil that it allows to be perpetuated are the head of White America, or more so corrupt America. Racist America. … A Constitution written by only white men will never serve the interests of black people. The Constitution was written for the ruling class of white men which constructed whiteness to be more valuable than any other race.

“It is time to claim the Declaration of Independence and apply it to our struggle as colonized black people in America. The United States has us; it is time we demand a new constitution or tell America that she will get the bullet.” (emphasis mine)

Killing white America is common with practitioners of anti-white racism.

In the summer of 2015, the Marxist leadership of Black Lives Matter openly called for the murder of whites. Additionally, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan solicited volunteers to “rise up and kill those that kill us.”

“I’m looking for ten thousand in the midst of the million. Ten thousand men who say, ‘Death is sweeter than continued life under tyranny.

“Death is sweeter than to continue to live and bury our children, while white folks give the killer hamburgers.

“Death is sweeter, than watching us slaughter each other, to the joy of a 400-year-old enemy. Yes, death is sweeter.

“So if the federal government will not intercede in our affairs, then we must rise up and kill those who kill us. Stalk them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling.” (emphasis mine)

Riding on the coattails of Black Lives Matter and their call for reparations last year, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) introduced the Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African-Americans Act (H.R.40) — the same bill passed by the Judiciary Committee last week — to develop a reparations plan. Last year, she defended the bill by saying:

“We now have an opportunity, through H.R. 40, to have the highest level of discussion about systemic racism and race. And we are able to do it in a manner that is bringing people together; that acknowledges that Black lives matter; and acknowledges that there has to be a response.

“There is no better time for H.R. 40 to be part of the national dialogue, and part of the national legislative response.” (emphasis mine)

“Systemic racism” is the “woke” word used by Social Justice Warriors to hide their anti-white hatred.

Reparations provide clear evidence of anti-white racism, a point made by Rep. Burgess Owens. “Every place Democrats oversee a black community, it’s misery,” Owens said during last week’s discussions. “And we’re going to blame white people?”

“By the way,” Owens continued. “reparations, where you take people’s money that they’ve earned, is punishment. It’s theft. It’s judgment. It’s saying that, because of your skin color, you owe me. That is not the American way. We’re not racist people. This American country is based on meritocracy.” (emphasis mine)

In an article written a little over a year ago about “The New Racism,” Walter E. Williams described how this kind of anti-white hate is  becoming mainstream:

“Philip Carl Salzman wrote “The War Against White People” in Minding the Campus. He declared: “Anti-white hate is now mainstream American culture. Not just by racial extremists such as Black Lives Matter, for whom statements such as “all lives matter” or “blue lives matter” are racist. Our highest leaders sing the same song.”

Biden is one of the “highest leaders” pushing anti-white racism, but there are others in his administration singing the same song.

On the same day that Sheila Jackson-Lee was working on her reparations proposal, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield made an appearance at the 30th annual summit of Al Sharpton’s National Action Network in order to “acknowledge, on the international stage, that I have personally experienced one of America’s greatest imperfections. I have seen for myself how the original sin of slavery weaved white supremacy into our founding documents and principles.” (emphasis mine)

This is also why she told the U.N. General Assembly last month that “[S]lavery is the original sin of America. It’s weaved white supremacy and black inferiority into our founding documents and principles.” (emphasis mine)

Whenever the reparations argument has been made in the past, proponents have been either unwilling or unable to put a price tag on it. But according to a study endorsed by U.S. Conference of Mayors last year, it comes in at the low, low price of a mere $6.2 quadrillion. Broken down, this would give a tidy little sum of $151 million to each and every black American at a cost of $18.96 million to every American.

In the end, it’s not the cost of reparations that makes it a terrible idea, it’s the anti-white racism motivating it.

Reparations are legally and morally absurd. It’s morally abhorrent to make people who never owned slaves pay reparations to those who were never enslaved. Those who demand them don’t care about right and wrong; they only care about satisfying their selfish, greedy, hate-filled hearts.
