Joe Biden is expanding Title IX to promote the sexual abuse of children

In “honor” of the 50th anniversary of Title IX, the statute written to protect female students and school faculty from discrimination in education programs that receive federal financial assistance, Joe Biden proposed expanding it to promote the LGBT agenda and legalize the sexual abuse of children.

Biden’s Title IX changes will ban discrimination in federally funded education programs based on sexual orientation and gender identity (via National Review):

The Biden administration on Tuesday proposed changes to the federal civil-rights statute banning sex discrimination in federally funded education programs, including expanding protections to sexual orientation and gender identity.

One proposed change “would make clear that preventing any person from participating in an education program or activity consistent with their gender identity would subject them to more than de minimis harm on the basis of sex and therefore be prohibited, unless otherwise permitted by Title IX or the regulations.”

If adopted, the rule change would bar universities and any other federally funded institutions from maintaining men’s and women’s sports and sex-segregated spaces like locker rooms and dormitories.

Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona told reporters on Thursday that the proposed changes would “fully protect students from all forms of sex discrimination, instead of limiting some protections to sexual harassment alone, and make clear those protections include discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.” (Emphasis mine)

Expanding Title IX will make the pro-LGBT agenda mandatory in public schools and universities . . . or else:

Biden has been promising to make this change to Title IX since January, but the reality is that it’s been a work in progress going back to his days as Barack Obama’s #2 — he just picked up where Barry left off.

In April 2016, Barack Obama’s Department of Education (DOE) held a meeting with a group called Equality Michigan to get the ball rolling by declaring “discrimination” against transgender students a civil rights issue, and he promised to keep the DOE “aggressively engaged” in the fight to allow children to use whichever bathroom they choose promote and federalize the sexual abuse of children.

This was followed in May 2016 with a keynote address by Department of Education Secretary John B. King, Jr. to the Education Writers Association where he suggested that the Department of Education would be using a pro-LGBT interpretation of Title IX to bully states into correcting what he termed “a terrible mistake” concerning so-called discrimination against transgenders.

Before leaving office, Obama issued mandates on schools across the country requiring them to use a transgender student’s chosen pronouns and to open bathrooms, locker rooms, overnight accommodations, and some sports teams to students based on their chosen gender identity.

But Obama only got so far with promoting the sexual abuse of children; it took Joe Biden picking up where his former boss left off to get the job done.

Biden went right to work in this regard only hours after taking the oath of office by issuing an executive order barring discrimination based on “gender identity” and “sexual orientation.” This was followed by a June 2021 announcement that he would take states to court over what he called “anti-transgender” laws, and he committed to use the resources of his Department of Justice as muscle.

Expanding IX stands a good chance of success thanks to Donald Trump’s “conservative” Supreme Court and the 6-3 ruling in Bostock v. Clayton County that created a never-existed-before inalienable right to transgenderism. The majority opinion was written by none other than Trump appointee Neil Gorsuch

In Bostock, the court determined that discriminating against individuals because of “sex” also extended to sexual orientation and transgender status and therefor prohibited under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Since the courts often use interpretations of Title VII to “inform” interpretations of Title IX, the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division released a three-page memo last year detailing how they would follow this same logic to defend Joe Biden’s pro-LGBT expansion of Title IX:

“After considering the text of Title IX, Supreme Court caselaw, and developing jurisprudence in this area, the Division has determined that the best reading of Title IX’s prohibition on discrimination ‘on the basis of sex’ is that it includes discrimination on the basis of gender identity and sexual orientation.”

The government-sanctioned sexual abuse of children was kind of a Pride Month theme in the Biden White House. Last week, he issued an executive order essentially federalizing transgenderism by banning traditional mental health services and replacing them with government-approved services.

“No one knows better than people in this room, we have a lot more work to do. I don’t have to tell you about the ultra MAGA agenda, attacking families and our freedoms. … These attacks are real and consequential for real families,” Biden said. “My order will use of the full force of the federal government to prevent inhumane practices of conversion therapy. This is the first time the federal government is making a coordinated response against this dangerous, discredited practice.” (Emphasis mine)

In March 2016, the American College of Pediatricians issued a statement addressing the transgender issue and the sexual abuse of children, calling transgenderism, at best, a sign of “confused thinking” and not a “genetic marker of a [biological] disorder.” The statement concluded:

“Conditioning children into believing a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse.” (Emphasis mine)

From bathrooms and locker rooms to school sports teams, the government-sanctioned and mandated sexual abuse of children has been the goal of Barack Obama and Joe Biden (along with Donald Trump and so-called conservatives) to ensure that the LGBT agenda becomes the supreme law of the land, and expanding Title IX helps them reach that goal.
