Space Force commander sacked for rejecting Marxism, critical race theory

Marxist Critical Race Theory

In Joe Biden’s “woke” military, Marxism and critical race theory along with other far-left agenda items have replaced military readiness as a priority. But as one Space Force commanding officer recently discovered, rejecting or criticizing this reality will cost you your command . . . and cost America much more.

“Lt. Gen. Stephen Whiting, Space Operations Command commander, relieved Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier of command of the 11th Space Warning Squadron, Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado, May 14, due to loss of trust and confidence in his ability to lead,” the Space Force said in a statement to the Washington Examiner.

Whiting took the action after Lohmeier appeared on a podcast to promote his self-published book, Irresistible Revolution: Marxism’s Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military, where he asserts that a neoMarxist agenda is transforming military culture and policy.

According to the description found on the book, it explores the “impact of a neo-Marxist agenda” and the manner in which the “Black Lives Matter movement, anti-racism, postmodernism, [and] political correctness” affect the national security of the United States.

Department of Defense Directive 1344.10 prohibits active-duty personnel from engaging in “partisan political activities.” Service members are, however, permitted to express their personal opinions on political candidates and issues in their personal capacity and when not in uniform. Lohmeier has denied having any intention of getting involved with partisan politics.

“My intent never has been to engage in partisan politics. I have written a book about a particular political ideology (Marxism) in the hope that our Defense Department might return to being politically nonpartisan in the future as it has honorably done throughout history,” he told Military.com.

One area of criticism leveled by the Air Force Academy graduate was directed at Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s diversity and inclusion agenda. “I don’t demonize the man, but I want to make it clear to both him and every service member this agenda — it will divide us. It will not unify us, ” Lohmeier said.

Austin established himself under Obama as the commander of U.S. Central Command, where he was in charge of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and the ISIS campaign; this is the reason Biden handpicked him to build his woke military (via Washington Times).

As you may recall, Obama’s approach to radical Islam and ISIS could be described as an early version of a woke military. Obama flatly denied that Islamic terrorism is real, compared radical Islam to early Christianity, and launched a program to pay ISIS instead of kill them.

It’s easy to see why Austin is on board with helping Biden push Marxism and critical race theory.

Soon after the January 6 insurrection, President-elect Biden asked the intelligence community for an assessment of the threat of domestic terrorism. In response to Biden’s request, Austin determined that since some active duty military members and veterans reportedly participated in the riot that a 60-day Defense Department-wide “stand down” order was necessary to begin training troops about extremism at every level down to the smallest unit.

Normally, a military stand-down order is so serious that it’s only used to solve a clearly serious problem. Even though there was little evidence of a clear problem of extremism anywhere within the military, Mr. Austin issued his order anyway. According to some within the military, troops are questioning — and disbelieving — the so-called training because it focuses only on the Jan. 6 riot and excludes mention of the last summer’s Antifa and Black Lives Matter riots.

Some other areas where Biden and Austin are focusing on military wokeness instead of military readiness deal with the LGBT agenda and global warming.

Only hours after taking the oath of office, Biden issued an executive order barring discrimination based on “gender identity” and “sexual orientation. He followed this action a few weeks later with his “Memorandum on Advancing the Human Rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex Persons Around the World” which directed American agencies operating abroad “to ensure that United States diplomacy and foreign assistance promote and protect the human rights of LGBTQI+ persons.”

Mr. Austin quickly embraced the LGBT policy, and issued his own memorandum in March executing Biden’s wishes.

Austin’s memorandum requires the Department of Defense to “lead by example” in combating the criminalization by foreign governments of LGBTQI+ status, and to expand its engagement with foreign governments to combat discrimination against such people. His memorandum further requires DoD to expand its efforts with foreign governments to promote the human rights of LGBTQI+ people and to consider the impact on programs funded by DoD in that regard when making funding decisions.

Last month, Biden issued his “Interim National Security Strategic Guidance” with the help of Austin and his staff. And just like everything else, it completely ignores serious security threats while focusing on the Marxist objectives of Biden and the far-left.

Within the 24-page propaganda publication, Biden’s “Guidance” mentions climate change more than a dozen times, as well as racial justice and LGBTQI+ rights. It’s little more than a politically correct list of things the president wants to address such as the COVID-19 pandemic, racial injustice, and climate change. It provides little that would qualify as national security strategic guidance other than Biden’s desire to strengthen alliances and use diplomacy instead of military power.

Concerning Austin’s diversity and inclusion agenda, Lohmeier says he was asked to train his troops using extremism training and was given a “70-page” booklet of “talking points.” The lieutenant commander said the booklet opened with the Capitol riot and included examples of “white nationalists that have been caught at some point in the last decade and punished for it and kicked out of the military, or [examples of] a radical Islamic terrorist.”

“The diversity, inclusion and equity industry and the trainings we are receiving in the military … is rooted in critical race theory, which is rooted in Marxism,” Lohmeier said. (emphasis mine)

Lohmeier also cited a diversity initiative in which service members were required to read So You Want to Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo, a book that refers to the United States as a “white supremacist nation,” to provide further evidence of how troops are essentially being programed by a “hyper-politicized work environment where diversity and inclusion initiatives are being pushed constantly.”

It’s beyond dispute that a “woke” military, where Marxism and critical race theory have replaced military readiness, is a top priority for Joe Biden and Lloyd Austin, and it’s also beyond dispute that rejecting or criticizing it will cost some in the military their jobs.

However, the greater cost will be the safety and security of America.
