UN looks to seize guns using RFID technology

Gun control UN

At a recent meeting of nations participating in the United Nations’ Programme of Action (POA), ideas were discussed on ways to track civilian weapons, component parts, and ammunition, and how the United States should spend more money helping foreign countries accomplish those goals.

The Second Meeting of Governmental Experts (MGE2) discussed a couple of agenda items that should give pause to Americans who love the Constitution.

First, they deliberated on how to eliminate the threat of technologically advanced weapons, including so-called polymer firearms and 3D printed guns, as well as the tracking of materials used in the “craft-production of small arms and light weapons.”

Second, they called for urgent tracking of civilian-owned firearms, recommending that manufacturers be forced by the UN to install “RFID and biometric technologies in limiting the access of the weapon to authorized users only.” And of course, authorized users will be determined by the UN.

The Programme of Action is the foundation upon which the Arms Trade Treaty is built, which has been signed by the Obama administration but never ratified by the Senate. Under the ATT, the United States is committed to passing legislation that will require domestic firearms and ammunition manufacturers to equip their products with RFID chips and biometric technologies that will help the government track and eventually disarm civilians.

According to the text of the latest draft of the POA, it will serve as an “international instrument to enable states to identify and trace, in a timely and reliable manner,” the small arms and light weapons that are the subject of the scheme, which means that the governments of member nations (including the United States) will soon create a massive, all-inclusive database of all parties that manufacture, own, sell, trade, or transfer arms and ammunition.

And if recent history is any indicator, after the data has been collected, Congress could pass a law (or Obama would just issue an executive order) compelling “voluntary” surrender of privately owned weapons, ammo, parts, and components (including reloading equipment). After a statutorily-set window, citizens who don’t turn in these items to their local law enforcement will be visited by law enforcement to “remind” violators of their responsibility to disarm.

There are also provisions to provide “real-time tracking” of firearms and ammunition “from manufacturer to storage and from storage to the individuals users.” Once the UN and its member nations begin tracking and confiscating weapons from civilians, the POA mandates that member governments take “direct control over transfers of small arms and light weapons.”

No one is shocked that the one-world radicals at the UN want to take any and every variety of gun out of the hands of civilians; it’s been a part of their agenda for years. But things are different this time around.

I wrote a few months ago about how the Fast Track Authority that Washington RINOs gave Obama, which grants him unlimited trade authority, could be used as a “go-around” of Congress and the Constitution. All our pro-gun control, anti-2nd Amendment president needs to do is call this a “trade related” issue and he can pretty much do anything he wants.

This isn’t some conspiracy theory any longer. We are on the verge of seeing the Constitution destroyed as the progressive-left surrenders American sovereignty to the New World Order.
