Trump’s “evolving” view of Islam is bad news for Israel and America

During meetings with Russian officials earlier this month, Donald Trump revealed previously classified intelligence about ISIS activities, including a disclosure about the origins of the information. It would later be revealed that Trump provided enough detail to the Russians to conclude that this vital information was provided by our closest ally in the Middle East, Israel.

Well, not to worry folks. During an interview ahead of his meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump laid his inability to handle classified information to rest when he told reporters, “Just so you understand, I never mentioned the word or name Israel.”

Pathetic. Or to use a Trump word, “sad.”

That would be like me saying “the president is an idiot” and then defending my comment by saying “I never mentioned the words or name Donald Trump.” I’m pretty sure the cult wouldn’t accept that as my defense. By the way, a recent poll showed “idiot” as the number one answer when voters were asked for the first word that comes to mind when they think of President Trump. Just sayin’.

For the record, I am truthfully and unapologetically calling Donald Trump a liar for promising during the campaign to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem and then reneging just days before his Middle East trip. Further betrayals on Israel’s rights to the capital city were confirmed when a senior Trump official stated that the Western Wall–the wall of the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism–did not belong to Israel. The statement was defended a day later by National Security Advisor H.R. McMasters.

As Trump’s policies continue to embrace Obama’s talking points concerning Israel, he appears to be adopting Obama’s pro-Islam rhetoric as well.

Over the weekend, Trump gave a speech in Saudi Arabia that many are praising as a notable change from Obama, even though he sounded a lot like the former president. In his address to the Muslim audience, Trump avoided using the words “radical Islamic terrorism” while calling Islam “one of the world’s great faiths.”

During the flight from Saudi Arabia to Israel, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was asked by the media about Trump’s address and how it contradicted his position during the campaign that “Islam hates us.” Tillerson issued a classic politically correct response, saying that the president’s view is “evolving.”

“I think the president’s views–like, we hope, the American people’s views–are going to continue to evolve.”

That’s right, America! Donald Trump wants your attitude towards the so-called religion of peace to evolve to line up with his.

But hey, at least Trump negotiated a sweet arms deal with the nation that financed 9/11, so Israel’s future with Saudi Arabia will be evolving too now that they will be armed to “fight” terrorism.
