Trump indirectly supports Jill Stein’s recount effort

By now you’re probably aware of Green Party candidate for president Jill Stein’s recount effort in three pivotal battleground states, and that she has registered her first victory in Wisconsin, where the recount is scheduled to begin on December 1, 2016. Citing unspecified “evidence of voting irregularities,” Stein is also targeting Pennsylvania and Michigan for recount.

Trump’s combined margin of victory in these three states is only about 107,000 votes.

While the effort is unlikely to change the result of the election, the decision by the voting board in Wisconsin to conduct the first presidential recount in state history has prompted the Clinton campaign to join in the fun. According to people working for the Clinton campaign, they are doing so “…in order to ensure the process proceeds in a manner that is fair to all sides.”

Unsurprisingly, these events prompted Trump to launch one of his classic Twitter rants where, as usual, he did more harm than good. In a display of the kind of irony becoming so common with the New York Liberal, the man who just agreed to a $25 million out-of-court settlement for running a real estate investment scam–Trump University–accused Stein of scamming donors to the recount effort.

But the irony doesn’t end there.

Throughout the campaign, Trump repeatedly ranted against free and open elections, calling the system “rigged.” Yet since he has been declared the winner, he’s apparently cool with a rigged system since it was rigged in his favor.

The day following his scam accusation, Trump attempted to defend his popular vote loss to Hillary–over two million votes and counting–by making a baseless claim that essentially validates Stein’s recall effort:

Besides the fact that winning only 56% of the electoral college can hardly be considered a “landslide,” there is absolutely no proof to Trump’s claim that there were “millions” of illegal votes. And if there is any proof, Stein is fully justified in calling for a recount, and Trump has essentially endorsed it.

Trump does this stuff because that’s what ego-maniacal narcissist do. He would rather be the center of attention by questioning the legitimacy of his electoral victory, than humble himself as the servant-leader America needs and keep his mouth shut.

But hey! Not Hillary . . . right?
