Jesus never taught “tolerance”

Pioneer. Champion. The new Jackie Robinson. These are the accolades being heaped on Jason Collins for making the following announcement:  I’m a 34-year-old NBA center. I’m black. And I’m gay. – Jason Collins Gee, I didn’t know he was black. Glad he came out about that one. But seriously, we have now reached a place in America when proudly proclaiming to the world that you probably enjoy post-game showers for more than the soap and shampoo makes you a hero in the eyes of the world. As if it takes a lot of courage for a multi-millionaire, 34-year-old, has-been athlete looking for post-retirement…

“Chicago Values” – An Oxymoron If There Ever Was One

In case you haven’t been paying attention, the folks at Chic-fil-A have been under assault by those “tolerant” liberals for taking an unpopular and politically incorrect position - which is one more reason why I love it – on the subject of homosexual marriage. A few questions: Why are people who take a position based on their faith-based values considered intolerant but those who take the opposite position using their ????-based values are considered tolerant? Doesn’t the belief in moral relativism held by many who support homosexual marriage allow for those who don’t believe in it to hold an opposing point of view?  Doesn’t the fact…

Rick Warren Embraces “Chrislamity” (Update)

Last week, I was one of many bloggers who posted a story about the apparent acceptance of a new false religion called “Chrislam” – which takes the beliefs of Christianity and mixes it with the Muslim religion - by the Purpose Driven Pastor, Rick Warren. This week, Warren responded to the accusation on his website, Pastors.com. Personally, I was unimpressed with the “interview.” Clearly, the questions were set-up questions meant to allow Warren to answer the way he wanted. There was nothing “journalistic” about the questions or the response. I’ll leave it up to you if you want to believe it, but I still…

Rick Warren Embraces “Chrislamity”

Hey, who says Jesus needed to give up his equality with God to become a man, and then lay down His life to restore all of mankind to Himself? Muhammad apparently is no different than He is, at least according to Rick Warren. The Rev. Rick Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest and one of America’s most influential Christian leaders, has embarked on an effort to heal divisions between evangelical Christians and Muslims by partnering with Southern California mosques and proposing a set of theological principles that includes acknowledging that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. (emphasis…

Islam A Religion Of Peace. . . Or Something

And hey, it’s a tolerant one too. Even though the Apologist-in-Chief sent a personal message to Afghan President Hamid Karzi  for the burning of jihadist notebooks masquerading as copies of the Quran, two U.S. troops were shot to death and four more wounded by an Afghan solider who turned his gun on his allies in apparent anger over the burning. President Obama sent Afghan President Hamid Karzai a letter on Thursday apologizing for the alleged burning of Korans at a U.S. military base, Karzai’s office confirmed on its website. “I wish to express my deep regret for the reported incident,” Obama wrote. “I…
