John McCain: This isn’t the maverick you’re looking for

In December, 2012, the Strident Conservative enshrined John McCain (Rino-AZ) as a member of its G.O.P (Gutless On Principles) Hall of Shame. Our decision was made, in part, as a result of his tirade from the Senate floor when he railed against Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) for having the audacity to use the Senate filibuster on a spending bill in order to protect the Constitutional right of Americans to a fair trial. He would attack him again a few months later—a tag-team affair involving his man-crush and fellow G.O.P. Hall of Shame member, Lindsey Graham (Rino-NC)—when Paul filibustered the nomination of John Brennan for C.I.A. Director in order to assure Americans that their…

Congress Has A Gang Problem

Dangerous and destructive gangs are roaming the nation’s capital. No one knows their origins, but since their arrival in the halls of Congress they have grown in number and power; and they are leaving behind a path of destruction everywhere they go. These gangs typically number from eight to sixteen; a small number, but powerful nonetheless. In years past, they have brought wreckage to many areas, including: Supreme Court Justice nominations, Cap-and-trade legislation, and Fiscal Cliff negotiations. The most recent carnage being heaped on America comes from the ”Gang of Eight” working on amnesty for illegal aliens—oops, I mean Immigration Reform. As has been the…

Chuckleheads Of The World Unite!

Chuckleheads Of The World Unite!

During the imaginary financial crisis known as the “fiscal cliff“—we call it imaginary because it was created by gutless politicians who lacked the courage to deal with the government’s spending addiction during the debt ceiling negotiations in 2011—Republican Congressman, Steve LaTourette, was apparently frustrated with the behavior of Conservative Republicans who actually voted in manner consistent with the radical principle that the government needed to tax less and spend less. Of course, LaTourette considers himself above such conviction obstructionist, radical behavior. After all, the “C” in Conservative stands for “chucklehead“—at least that’s the opinion of the recently retired Congressman from Ohio—and his evolution to becoming the effete…

Too Bad Romney Wasn’t This Concerned About Super PACS During The Primaries

When polling showed Newt Gingrich in the lead just before the Iowa Caucuses, a Super PAC backing Mitt – “Mr. Inevitable” – Romney released a barrage of attack ads against the former House Speaker, hitting him for supporting a national health insurance mandate, ”amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants,” and for appearing in an ad alongside then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in 2008 urging the country to address climate change. When asked about the ads in a debate prior to the New Hampshire primary, Mitt claimed ignorance over their content, yet declared that they were true and accurate. He concluded that since he is prohibited by law to interfere…

Why Won’t Conservatives Just Let Romney Win?

Why Won’t Conservatives Just Let Romney Win?

According to the number 2 House Republican, it’s time for everyone to coalesce around Mitt Romney – aka Mr. Inevitable – so he can focus on losing to running against Obama in November. Karl Rove – the George Castanza of the political world because they both pretend to be architects - declares that Romney “appears ready to grind out a victory (for the nomination) – and (is) well-positioned to win the presidency.” An ever-increasing number of conservative critics, including several members of the conservative media, have thrown their support behind Mitt-the-Flip. So why, with all of this momentum, are conservatives so reluctant to fall in-step and just let Romney…
