Jeff Sessions, Trump’s Russian entanglements, and Obama’s shadow government

During his confirmation hearing to become Attorney General, then-Sen. Jeff Sessions swore under oath that he had no contacts with Russian officials in his role as a surrogate for the Trump campaign during the 2016 election. But following revelations that he had two meetings with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak–the same person former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn had met which led to his resignation–accusations are being made that he lied.

Members of Congress from both parties are calling for Sessions to resign, or at the very least recuse himself from a Department of Justice investigation into Russian interference with the election and Russian ties to Donald Trump.

UPDATE: Sessions agrees to recuse himself

While this revelation is most likely the result of a dedicated effort by Obama, the Democrats, and their friends in the media to find a way to destroy the Trump administration–one of the many objectives of Obama’s shadow government–the situation is made worse by Donald Trump’s “bromance” with Vladimir Putin.

There have been many red flags–pardon the pun–throughout the Trump campaign and young presidency about his Russian entanglements. A few examples are:

The situation with Jeff Sessions appears to be much ado about nothing, and it will most likely fade away. But such tactics are going to continue, particularly in light of new information released about Obama’s shadow government.

Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett has literally moved into the home of Barry and Michelle–cue Three’s Company theme song–in order to establish the nerve center of Obama’s mounting insurgency against Trump. Obama’s goal, according to a close family friend, is to oust Trump from the presidency either by forcing his resignation or through his impeachment.

“He was weary and burned out after eight years in office. But Valerie convinced him that he didn’t have any choice if he wanted to save his legacy. And, as usual, he bowed to Valerie’s political wisdom and advice.”

Weary and burned out? I guess 333 rounds of golf is more exhausting than most folks realize. The source continued:

“He is going to use his immense popularity with the half of the country that identifies as liberals and progressives. Millions of Americans are energized and ready to take to the streets to oppose Trump, but they need to be organized and have their anger focused and directed.

“Obama is dismayed at the way Trump is tearing down his legacy—ObamaCare, the social safety net and the welcome mat for refugees he put in place.”

Trump’s cozy bromance with Putin? Obama running a shadow government? This is going to get worse before it gets better.
