Remember the birth of ISIS? The pictures tell the tale!

Obama_Legacy

Under George W. Bush there was no ISIS.  ISIS formed during the Obama presidency. Many may not like reading those words, but they are truth.  Under George Bush a ruthless dictator was deposed (& executed), thousands were set free from torture dungeons, the Iraqi people came out of hiding and participated in free and open democratic elections. Also truth. How do we know? There are pictures.

We all saw the pictures – the ones depicted here are highly symbolic. A massive towering statue, one of many, that Saddam Hussein had erected to himself. Left to their own devices the Iraqi people could not topple it.  With little in the way of weapons or resources, taking down it (or him) proved impossible. What did it take? It took the U.S. military. A 1,000 horsepower diesel tank came in there and with it, Hussein fell.  The symbolism is off-the-charts. The statue came down the same and only way Hussein himself did. American determination to put an end to tyranny.

We all saw the pictures – a year later men AND WOMEN of Iraq were seen round the world proudly displaying their ink-stained fingers indicating they’d done something for the first time. Voted. People came out and stood in line for hours on end to participate in a free and open election to determine the leadership of their nation.

They were willing to do it because big brother was on the playground. The USA had demonstrated that we had their backs. Once again United States had done something we’ve done since our founding. Brought freedom, liberty, the right and ability to self-govern to the brutally oppressed. For us this was nothing new, for the Iraqis it was a genesis, the dawn of a new day that many had been waiting their entire lives for, many had lost their lives while awaiting.

Well, ISIS saw those pictures too. And now many if not most of those who voted have now fled or been murdered. George Bush told America the same thing his military advisers told him; that a withdraw from Iraq would result in the nation falling into the hands of ruthless, blood-thirsty maniacs who would be even worse than the Hussein regime. That leaving Iraq to fend for itself would be a mistake with global consequences.

Barack Obama’s military and foreign policy advisers told him the same things. Obama chose to ignore them and ordered a complete withdraw of U.S. forces. We turned our backs on all those souls who offered aid, comfort or intelligence to allied forces, who voted, who so much as gave a thirsty U.S. soldier a drink of water as he passed thru their town 10 years ago. They’ve been slaughtered.

And now ISIS is not only controlling Iraq, not only taking back cities won at the expense of U.S. blood, not only wreaking havoc in other neighboring nations of the middle-east but they’re now exporting their brand of terror, death and maiming to western democracies as well. Obama was forewarned about all of this.

ISIS came into being on his watch. The WORLD is now living with the deadly results of Barack Obama’s either inept, incompetent, weak-kneed or Islamist-pandering foreign policy. Innocent lives are being lost today as a direct result. Hundreds in the past few weeks alone. And for his part, Obama’s legacy of “leadership” with regards to this monster he’s helped create? A few days ago Obama summed up his disposition quite well when he said he is not interested in “pursuing some notion of American leadership or America winning.”

Not interested in America winning? Sir, that much is obvious.
