GOP creates pro-Democrat, anti-Conservative budget

Only yesterday, I shared how Conservatives no longer have a home within the GOP. I reached this conclusion after witnessing the House Freedom Caucus’ cave to threats from Donald Trump and the GOP establishment by endorsing the fake repeal of Obamacare. Additionally, we witnessed the termination of Jim DeMint as president of the Heritage Foundation after he called Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan to the carpet for abandoning their promises to Conservatives.

So, it should come as no surprise to learn that the GOP establishment reached an agreement with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi to create a $1.1 Trillion spending bill, funding the government through September. The budget surrender was necessary, according to GOP establishment coward Paul Ryan, to avoid a government shut-down as promised by Democrats.

Do you remember the Ryan/Murray Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013? That’s the budget-busting GOP capitulation to Obama and the Democrats that destroyed sequestration spending caps and increased taxes in exchange for future spending cuts that are highly unlikely to occur. This omnibus reinforces the bogus budget-negotiator credentials Ryan earned in that deal.

So, what did the Democrats get from the Republican cowards? Daniel Horowitz gives us a depressing and detailed list, but a few of the biggies included are:

  • Funding for murdering the unborn and selling their body parts through Planned Parenthood.
  • Funding of Obamacare subsidies.
  • Funding for sanctuary cities.
  • Fully funding the EPA.
  • Increased funding for DOE green energy programs.

The so-called budget also includes a provision to increase the influx of temporary, low-skilled workers under the H-2B visas. Apparently, this is how Republicans create jobs for American workers.

Noticeably missing from the bill is funding for the border wall. I know that there will be those worshiping at the Shrine of Trump who will point to this item as proof that he is an innocent victim of the establishment. Unfortunately, the facts don’t support that claim.

Just after the November election, Trump asked Congress for a delay in passing a budget in order to allow his administration to set spending priorities. Instead, he spent much of his first 100 days trying to pass Obamacare 2.0 and attacking Conservatives who refused to fund it. He also went on record as being flexible regarding financing of the wall, if it meant Schumer could be pacified and a shut-down averted.

By the way, the GOP establishment is preparing a BOGO special for Conservatives. In addition to passing the Chuck Schumer budget, Republicans have indicated that there will be another attempt to pass Obamacare 2.0 later this week.
