Obama’s Taliban policy brings death to Pakistan Christians

Obama spin the wheel terrorism

In the days following the terrorist attack in Brussels by ISIS last week, Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz issued a series of statements outlining immediate steps the U.S. should take in response, including: suspending Muslim immigration along with increasing surveillance of Muslim neighborhoods to help stem the rising tide of increased radicalization in those communities.

Cruz took a lot of heat from groups like the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) for his recommendations, and in the days following his comments he would also receive some heat from the White House.

Calling the Texas senator’s ideas “wrong and un-American,” and contrary to American values, Obama declared that ISIS did not pose an “existential threat” to the U.S., even though the terrorist group has admitted that they are using the Muslim immigration crisis as a means to infiltrate western nations.

Comforting, isn’t it?

This isn’t the first time Obama has denied the threat of radical Islam. Near the end of 2015 his administration decided that the U.S. would end counter-terrorism operations against the Iranian-funded Taliban because they were no longer considered a threat. In fact, he viewed the Taliban as a “partner” in the effort to restore peace in Afghanistan.

Following the inevitable rise of the Taliban as a result of these pro-Islam policies, the administration eventually had to re-deploy hundreds of American troops to support the local military in the fight against radical Islam. And now we have another example of how Obama’s kid glove handling of the Muslim faction.

During yesterday’s Easter celebrations around the world, Christians were celebrating the Resurrection in Lahore, Pakistan in a popular park used by the local Christian community. During the height of activity, a Taliban suicide bomber killed at least 65 and injuring over 300 more.

A statement by the leader of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, the Taliban faction claiming responsibility for the attack, said that Christians were the target and that more is yet to come:

“The target was Christians. We want to send this message to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that we have entered Lahore. He can do what he wants but he won’t be able to stop us. Our suicide bombers will continue these attacks.”

Unfortunately, with Obama’s approach to the problem, they’re right!
