Mitch McConnell fails with Iran nuke deal – Blames Democrats

McConnell and Boehner - RINO cowards

The Iran nuke deal hit the fan last week, and that prompted Mitch McConnell to go into damage control mode as he attempted to blame the Democrats for his pathetic leadership failure.

In an interview on FOX News, he stated that the deal with the terrorist nation will continue to be a defining issue in the 2016 election for the White House and for continued control of the Senate. Meanwhile, he wanted to America to “make sure we know who we ought to be angry at.”

Translation? McConnell knows that he failed. He knows that you know he failed. And he knows that you will fully blame him for the blood Iran will spill after economic sanctions are lifted.

The failed Majority Leader went on to say:

“Not a single Republican in the House or the Senate supports this deal. Many Democrats don’t support it either. And it is going to be one of those rare issues that has a long shelf life and will be out there for the American people to render a judgment about in the fall of 2016.”

And there you have it! McConnell did nothing to stop this atrocity because he’s more concerned about 2016 than he is about a nuclear Iran; more concerned about protecting his cushy leadership job than he is about national security.

Leadership and Mitch McConnell? Now there’s an oxymoron!

We really shouldn’t be surprised that the invertebrate senator from Kentucky blames others for his pathetic job performance. After all, that’s what cowards do. He lobbed his first blame grenade during the interview when he said the Democrats used procedural rules and devices to prevent Obama from seeing a motion of disapproval, which he’d veto.

And he concluded that Obama is “going to win the short-term battle.” Battle? What battle? In order to lose a battle you have to actually engage in fighting one, don’t you?

Mickey went on to claim that the GOP had actually won the Iran argument with the American people. He also mentioned the overwhelming opposition to the deal coming from Israel and “our Sunni-Arab allies (who are) nervous and apprehensive and feeling that the can’t trust us anymore.”

Well, if by “us” he means himself, then he’d be right!

McConnell concluded his Washington establishment, anti-American talking points by saying:

“Our Democrat friends in the Senate who are supporting this deal ar not particularly troubled by the fact that there is [an] undisclosed agreement between the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Iranians.”

What a coincidence, neither does McConnell.

Meanwhile, House Speaker John Boehner has said he is considering filing a lawsuit against Obama to stop the bill. Oh yes, the infamous Boehner lawsuit threat. Worked out great with stopping Obamacare, didn’t it? But this is classic John Boehner:

  • Refuse to do your job
  • Pretend you’re doing your job with a lawsuit
  • Wait for the courts to throw it out
  • Blame the courts
  • Repeat

The Senate surrendered their constitutional power to approve treaties while the House of Representatives caved to Obama by relinquishing the power of the purse. So in the end, Obama will get what he wants, and the blood that results will be on the hands of McConnell and Boehner. Because they could have stopped it, but didn’t even try.
