May Day 2016: America drifts closer to Hitler-styled socialism

Socialism - Be rich or Be poorSunday was the first day of May, a day we commonly refer to as May Day. And while the origins of the day can be traced to the beginnings of organized labor, in recent decades it has taken a decidedly anti-capitalist tone in favor of a movement toward socialism.

And it appears to be gaining momentum; sometimes violently.

In what local organizers called a peaceful protest, a riot ensued in Seattle, Washington during May Day festivities. According to NBC News, at least nine protesters were arrested and five police officers injured in clashes where flares, bricks and Molotov cocktails were thrown. Seattle has quickly become the West Coast distributor of socialism; even electing a Socialist to the city council in 2014.

However, the West Coast port city could be an indicator of where America is heading.

One need look no further than a recent study conducted by Harvard University where 51% of adults 18-29 stated that they do not support capitalism — a statistic that could explain Bernie Sanders’ dominance in the Democrat primaries with that particular demographic.

Unfortunately, this is more proof of how the education system in America has become the indoctrination centers of socialist, Marxist and Communist ideals instead of teaching the free market principles the Founding Fathers believed in and implemented when they launched the American experiment.

Adolph Hitler, perhaps one of history’s greatest examples of the evils of socialism once stated:

“We are socialists, we are enemies of today’s capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions.”

Sobering words. But if I you didn’t know I was quoting Hitler, you could have just as easily believed I was quoting one of those Seattle protestors.
