Kerry to media: Stop reporting on terrorism so I can fix global warming

ISIS global warming - Kerry

During a recent speech given in Bangladesh by Secretary of State John Kerry, he told the audience that terrorist attacks such as the July 1 attack in the Bangladesh city of Dhaka would be less frequent if the media would stop doing its job by covering such events.

“If you decide one day you’re going to be a terrorist and you’re willing to kill yourself, you can go out and kill some people. You can make some noise. Perhaps the media would do us all a service if they didn’t cover it so much.”

And then, to the sound of applause, Kerry concluded: “People wouldn’t know what’s going on.”

Besides the obvious attempt to duck responsibility for his and Obama’s failure to engage in any meaningful fight to destroy radical Islamic terrorism, Kerry appears to have his facts confused. If the media not doing its job results in people not knowing what’s going on, then it looks like they are already there. Because the Obama Administration has been clueless about the war on terror from the very beginning.

Kerry could have another motivation to his request. If he didn’t have to constantly defend his ineptitude and indifference when these attacks occur, he would be free to tackle the really big problems . . . global warming and a lack of economic opportunities for would-be terrorists.

The Obama Administration has stated numerous times on the record that global warming is a greater threat to the world than radical Islamic terrorism. It was just last week that Kerry stated that air conditioners and refrigerators were as big a threat as ISIS, and immediately following his speech in Bangladesh he tweeted how happy he was to be heading to be in India–the site of the India-US Strategic and Commercial Dialogue (S&CD)–to build partnerships dealing with global warming.

Hey, I just had an epiphany. If not talking about something makes it go away, then maybe Kerry and his environmental whack-o buddies should stop talking about global warming. Just a thought.

Meanwhile, Obama appears ready to shred the Constitution once again as he continues addressing the threat greater than terrorism. As he prepares to embark on his trip to China to attend his final G-20 Summit, Obama has announced his intention to sign the Paris Climate Treaty without Senate ratification as required by the Constitution.

Oh well . . . at least the world will be safer.
