Is Obama like the Pope or is the Pope like Obama?

Obama and Pope

Christians are being slaughtered in the Middle East by the thousands. Children are being raped and turned into sex slaves by followers of radical Islam. So what did the Pope have to say about these and other serious issues when he arrived in America last week?

Nothing. In fact, he ignored these sins against humanity and began his U.S. tour on Wednesday last week with a lecture on other political issues such as global warming and inequality. And by inequality, he means the evils of capitalism and the need for wealth redistribution.

But the leader of the Catholic Church was just getting started.

On Thursday, in the first speech by a pope to a U.S. Congress, the pontiff told those in attendance that America should reject hostility to immigrants and treat them humanely, warning that the United States “must not repeat the sins and errors of the past” when dealing with immigrants:

“Building a nation calls us to recognize that we must constantly relate to others, rejecting a mindset of hostility.”

Speaking in English, Francis also admonished America to not be put off by the number of immigrants who are trying to make her their home:

“We must not be taken aback by their numbers, but rather view them as persons, seeing their faces and listening to their stories, trying to respond as best we can to their situation. To respond in a way which is always humane, just and fraternal.”

Well your holiness, we don’t have a problem with immigrants. We DO have a problem with illegal immigrants.

Following his meetings with the Pope, Obama compared himself to the pontiff—I guess he’s tired of just being the messiah—because making himself the center of everything is what the Narcissist-in-Chief has become known for.

But with his embrace of the global warming hoax, Marxist wealth redistribution, a one-world government and his opposition to the Constitutional rights of Americans, the thing that concerns me more than that is how the Pope might be a little too much like Obama.
