IRS approves theft of Social Security numbers by illegal aliens

SS card graphicIt’s no secret that the war against illegal immigration has been complicated by liberals–in both parties–who continue to find creative ways to allow illegal aliens to stay in America and not be deported.

Over the past few months alone, we have covered numerous stories on these efforts, such as: issuance of driver’s licenses, deleting the words “illegal alien” from state and federal statutes, and replacing them with “undocumented immigrant” and a DOJ push to give illegals the right to vote

And so it shouldn’t be too surprising to learn that another government agency has joined the ranks.

In testimony before the Senate Finance Committee, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen–the crook who succeeded the agency’s previous crook, Lois Lerner, and has an active impeachment resolution filed against him by the House Oversight Committee–defended the agency’s decision to allow illegal aliens to illegally use fraudulent Social Security numbers for legitimate purposes while not allowing them to be used for “bad” purposes.

So what does the IRS consider a legitimate use of illegally obtained Social Security numbers?

After Senator Dan Coates (R-IN) asked for clarification on the practice, Koskinen explained it this way:

“What happens in these situations is someone is using a Social Security number to get a job, but they’re filing their tax return with their [fake taxpayer identification number]. They are undocumented aliens … . They’re paying taxes. It’s in everybody’s interest to have them pay the taxes they owe.”

Joe Biden would be so proud.

Believe it not, Koskinen actually acknowledged the identity threat problem this policy creates; but he still put filling the government’s coffers ahead of such trivial concerns:

“There are questions about whether there’s a way we could simply advise people… . A lot of the time those Social Security numbers are borrowed from friends and acquaintances and they know they’ve been used, other times they don’t. [We need] the most effective way to do with this without necessarily having people decide not to file their taxes… . Obviously the priority is to have the IRS collecting those taxes.”

Yeah. National security, identity theft and Social Security fraud are just sooooooo yesterday.

Scripture tells us that the love of money is the root of all evil, and the IRS is proof that this is true.
