Harvard professor calls Conservative Christians culture war Nazis

Culture WarIf you’re a regular reader or listener of the Strident Conservative, you know that we pull no punches when it comes to the culture war launched by liberal elites against the traditional values held by Judeo-Christian Americans; values that John Quincy Adams once credited as essential to the American Revolution.

But as the war intensifies, and their motives become more obvious, the liberal elitists are unabashedly taking even more aggressively liberal positions as they put Christian Conservatives in their cross hairs.

Mark Tushnet, a Harvard Law professor–Isn’t that where Obama pretended to go to school?–posted an online piece calling on his fellow liberals to declare victory in the culture wars, and as the victors, he called for the losers (Conservative Christians) to be treated as the Nazis were after WWII:

“For liberals, the question now is how to deal with the losers in the culture wars. That’s mostly a question of tactics. My own judgement is that taking a hard line (“you lost, live with it”) is better than trying to accommodate the losers. Trying to be nice to the losers didn’t work well after the civil war… (but) taking a hard line seemed to work reasonably well in Germany, Japan after 1945.”

After reviewing the Harvard liberal’s left-wing blather, Ryan T.  Anderson, a Senior Research Fellow at the Heritage Foundation, observed:

“Tushnet blames what he calls the ‘culture wars’ on Conservatives, and he says liberals should now make Conservatives pay.”

Anderson goes on to conclude that Tushnet’s depiction of Orthodox Jews, Roman Catholics and Evangelical Christians as losers to be treated as Germany was after WWII is the “fundamental equivalent” of calling them “racists and Nazis.”

While not being a war fought with bullets, the attack on traditional American values is a war none the less. And the survival of our Republic hangs in the balance.
