End the madness! Say NO to Paul Ryan as House Speaker!

Paul Ryan - Nope

The “Who will replace John Boehner as Speaker of the House” saga continues in Washington, even though Congress is on another recess after having just returned from another recess. Good work if you can get it.

Just as they did when they tried to coronate  Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as the next RINO to wield the gavel of power, many of the establishment Republicans are spending their time away from Washington trying to convince us that Paul Ryan (R-WI) is the savior America and the Republican party needs.

You remember Paul Ryan, don’t you? He’s the loser who served as the running mate to Mitt Romney in the loss to Obama in 2012, and has recently received the endorsement from the “severe conservative” from Massachusetts.

But Mitt isn’t the only 2012 presidential candidate in favor of a Speaker Ryan. Turns out the guy who mopped the floor with Romney, none other than the messiah himself, Barack Hussein Obama is in Ryan’s camp.

There are plenty of reasons to oppose Ryan besides those I’ve already mentioned, including:

  1. On illegal immigration, Ryan’s a big believer in open borders and amnesty–a position that earned him an endorsement from Luis Gutierrez (D-IL), perhaps the most pro-amnesty liberal in Congress.
  2. He was responsible for the Ryan/Murray Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013, which eliminated sequester protections against excessive spending, allowing the budget to explode.
  3. He voted for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) and the Government Motors bailout.

Sadly, even a few so-called Conservatives in radio favor the nod to Ryan. Talk show host Hugh Hewitt went as far as to call out the Freedom Caucus for objecting to crowning the RINO-du-jour by hurling insults and telling them to simply “get with the program.”

Is it just me, or is Hugh sounding more and more like the mouthpiece of the party establishment–think McConnell, Boehner, McCain, Graham, etc.?

Once upon a time, the establishment Republican’s power circle consisted of: John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy and Paul Ryan. As far as the Speaker of the House gig is concerned, three of these RINOs are gone.

In the words of an old baseball analogy, let’s hit for the cycle and say “no” to Paul Ryan too!
