In these early days of the 2016 Road to the White House, Republican Governor Scott Walker is proving to be a force to be reckoned with. So it should come as no surprise that the attacks from the left are on the rise, but even this latest “scandal” proves how far the extreme left will go as they try to bring him down.
The latest pretend scandal involving Walker—believe it or not—is that the women that make up his official spokespeople are simply too hot. At least that’s the accusation being made by Kate Mallet, a reader of the alternative newspaper Isthmus, published in Madison, WI.
I can’t help noticing that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker picks beautiful young women to be the spokespeople for his administration and his campaigns. By my count, there’s Laurel Patrick, Alleigh Marré, Jocelyn Webster and Ciara Matthews. Matthews, you recall, is the one who made headlines for being a former Hooters waitress.
It reminds me of FOX News, which uses super-sexy women as on-air talent rather than a normal range of women who just happen to be good journalists. As with FOX, it’s hard to believe that the most talented females available to fill Walker’s frontline jobs also look like models. The thinking seems to be: We’ll use this eye candy to make our “product” mor palatable, just as the advertising industry has always done with noxious products like cigarettes and fast food.
In the realm of government, this approach makes you go “hmm.” What does it say to the young girls of Wisconsin who hope to do important work when they grow up, regardless of their looks? In my opinion, Walker’s approach sets women back 50 years, to the pre-feminist Mad Men era.
Maybe this lady would be happier if they were more like the empty-headed bimbos who work in Obama’s State Department. I’m surprised she didn’t accuse them of using Pantene shampoo (see video below).
Liberals have hated black conservatives for years. Looks like Kate is adding good-looking women to that list.
But hey! I thought that feminists wanted to be seen as more than just a skirt. And what about the politics? Doesn’t Kate’s point of view about Walker’s staff make her “beauty-phobic?” Should Congress pass legislation expanding civil rights laws to cover ugly women? Wait a minute. Obama never uses Congress. I meant to say: should Obama issue an executive order granting civil rights protection to ugly women?
Geez, what was I thinking?
Of course, these suggestions are absurd, as is this imaginary scandal. But when a conservative Republican begins to seize the headlines, you’ve got to do something. Even if that means having a feminist accuse conservative women of being too pretty to be smart.
In a way, I understand how this scandal was created. After all, the current batch of female leaders in the Democrat party consist of Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren, and Nancy Pelosi.
Not exactly “eye candy,” are they?
