Democrats ready to replace Obamacare with government-run healthcare

News flash! Obamacare has been a complete and utter failure!

Okay, not really a news flash, but it has been a failure. People who liked their doctor didn’t get to keep their doctor. People who liked their healthcare plan didn’t get to keep their healthcare plan. Costs have gone up while services provided have gone down, and insurance companies continue to drop out of Obamacare because they are losing millions of dollars.

So, what do you do if you’re a member of the Socialist, Progressive, Democrat party—the party solely responsible for passing the bill so we could see what was in the bill? Do you admit defeat, reach across the aisle, and develop a free market solution to the apocalypse known as the Affordable Care Act?

Hey! This is the democrats we’re talking about here. Of course they’re going to fix the mess they made. How, you ask? Unfortunately, not by reaching across the aisle, and certainly not by using the free market. The solution they plan to pursue is to give the government total control of healthcare by going all-in for a government-run healthcare system that offers a public “option.”

Option? That’s good news, right?Well, as I said, this is the Democrats we’re talking about. The only option they endorse is murdering your unborn child up to the unborn child’s birthday—at taxpayer’s expense if necessary. By the way, under a public option, it would be at taxpayer expense.

But let’s get back to that really cool “option” word and what the Democrats really mean by it.

From the beginning, Obamacare was intended to be the first step to government-run, single-payer healthcare. The so-called option is the next step in that direction. Bernie Sanders made this perfectly clear during his appearance at the Democrat National Convention.

“This campaign is about moving the United States toward universal health care and reducing the number of people who are uninsured or underinsured. Hillary Clinton wants to see that all Americans have the right to choose a public option in their health care exchange.”

Reducing the number of uninsured and underinsured? Isn’t that what Obamacare was supposed to take care of? I do like, however, how he used the word “choose.” It kind of makes it sound like we’ll really have a choice, doesn’t it? But remember, we’re talking about the Democrats. It was Obama who said, after all, that we would have choices regarding out doctors and our health care plans. And those wonderful exchanges? Of the original twenty-three set up under the Affordable Care Act, only seven currently remain.

The Veterans Administration health care scandal should tell us all we need to know about what government-run health care looks like. But in the end, that is the goal of the Democrat party.
