Damn The Constitution, Full Speed Ahead! – Part Deux

Progressives have never been big fans of our nation’s founding document due to the pesky little way it interferes with their Marxist-leaning objectives. This has never been as clear as it has with the Obamacare hijacking of America’s healthcare system.

This past December, Henchman Harry (Reid) did a fair job of destroying the Constitution when he strong-armed fellow Democrats into passing a bill that included special financial considerations to a select few states in violation of the 10th Amendment, which provides for “equal protection” of all the states and prohibits favoritism towards one state at the expense of the others.

Obama has been on record as being opposed to the Constitution all the way back to the beginning of his never-ending campaign for President. In this audio clip, he clearly spells out how he feels it interferes with his “social-justice” objective of income redistribution, which is a primary objective of Obamacare in the first place.

Which brings us to the last of the three-headed Progressive monster, Princess Pelosi. Already on record as being clueless when it comes to the Constitutionality of Obamacare, she is now considering a move that essentially does away with America’s 234 year history of checks and balances.

Using a little used procedure known as “deem-and-pass,” the House of Representatives could move the bill Henchman Harry forced through the Senate to the President’s desk to become law – without actually voting on the legislation – which is a violation of Article 1, Section 7 of the U.S. Constitution.

While there are those who would say that this maneuver has been used before, they are totally missing the point. When Congress resorts to trickery to force unwanted laws on the citizens, we are no longer operating as a Republic. If these tricks exist, get rid of them – don’t use them when it’s convenient for your extremist agenda.

Heck, even the liberal CNN says this is pretty sleazy:

I guess the real question Americans should be asking themselves is this. . .

Shouldn’t our elected leaders – I use that word loosely – look for ways to work within the Constitution, instead of looking for ways to work around it?

America better wake up soon or the heart of our Republic, which that has survived for nearly 234 years, will be gone.

OK, a little humor to end this post. With their non-stop campaigning on Obamacare, is it just me or do Nancy, Barry and Harry remind you of the opening scene in the Tom Hanks movie, Joe vs. the Volcano? To paraphrase a line from the movie. . .

“I know they can get the job, but can they do the job?”
