Katie Couric: Does Gender Revolution prove abortion is murder?

It can be a sad thing to watch members of the left-wing media gradually fade away into oblivion as they endeavor to find new ways to be relevant in a world where their progressive ideology is struggling to survive. But in the case of Katie Couric, it’s not sad at all. In fact, it’s downright entertaining, particularly as she tries to meld her pro-abortion feminism with her pro-LGBT beliefs regarding transgenderism.

How are abortion and transgenderism related? I’m glad you asked.

In an appearance last Friday on Ellen DeGeneres’ TV talk show, Couric promoted her new documentary Gender Revolution, which focuses on the “deeply biological” facts behind “gender identity in (America).” That’s right; despite the claims made by the LGBT sexual anarchists that biological sex (DNA) and gender identity are diametrically opposed to each other, Couric wants you to know that gender-confusion is biological.

But this is just the first conflict Couric tries to rationalize. Enter abortion . . . actually, not abortion specifically, but the baby in the womb before it’s aborted. According to Couric, the choice—her word, not mine—concerning gender identity can take place in the womb based on what “that person feels he or she actually is.”

“In the later stages of development, it’s when your brain is wired, and sometimes a surge of testosterone can make… a female fetus feel as if that baby is male or that person is male,” she said. “And the opposite, if there’s not enough testosterone.”

“It’s so interesting,” she concluded. “But it’s really about biology and people don’t realize that.

Even in the womb, a baby can “feel” like a different gender, she went on to say.

Did you catch that? She called the unborn child a “person.” She stated how it has “feelings.” She mentions the baby’s brain function and how the child essentially rationalizes their chosen gender. By her own words, Couric acknowledges what we have always known: unborn babies are people, they have feelings, and they possess the ability to think.

This is where Couric has a problem. If we accept her demonstrably incorrect conclusion that a baby can choose his/her gender identity in the womb, then abortion is no longer simply the removal of a clump of cells. It’s the murder of an unborn person. And if we reject that unborn babies can make this choice, then being “born this way”—the excuse used by LGBT activists—is a lie.

Biology–which is the study of life–proves that the unborn baby is a person, it is born male or female based on DNA, and it doesn’t choose to be transgendered.
