Conservative Comedy 7/5/13

It’s Conservative Comedy Friday at the Strident Conservative. I hope you had a safe and enjoyable Independence Day celebration. We have some of the best political satire on the internet to add to your weekend, with much of it touching on the birthday of our great nation.

The Conservative Comic at Hope n’ Change brings a great commentary on the state of affairs in America this July 4th. While politicians fight over how to score cheap, political points by granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, the greatness of America’s birthday is being thrown away.

On Independence Day, 2013, America appears to be more like the European nations we fled from. Obama has made the IRS scandal his number one priority, but that doesn’t mean what you think it means. NSA spying has done more that simply stopping terrorist attacks in America. And another Republican has been identified as being racist. Find out about these stories from Jodi Miller at Newsbusted as hilariously looks at these and other stories.

Misfit Politics brings us Part III of their Lord of the Rings parody, The Lording Over The Guns – Biden’s Epic Anti-gun Quest of Epicness. Sebastian leads Biden the Wizard and the gang to The Tower where they finally meet the mysterious Empress of Hollywood, much to the distress of Michelle. Can Biden get the help he’s looking for, and can Michelle keep her mouth shut long enough for it all to succeed?

Many of us did some serious grilling yesterday to celebrate liberty. Unfortunately, in this day and age of government over-regulation, much of that liberty has been taken away from us.  In response, Reason TV brings back Remy for a new Independence Day rap — “Up In My Grill” — to argue against the nanny state.

And to show us that a comedian can have serious side to their personality, Steven Crowder brings us a video that celebrates the culture of America.  While not comedy, it will bring joy to your heart as he reminds us how great our country is.

Have a great weekend!
