Conservative Comedy 5/15/15

Allahu Akbar It's Friday

It’s Conservative Comedy time at the Strident Conservative. As I do every Friday, I bring you some of the best conservative political and religious comedy, jokes, and satire on the internet, sure to provide a good laugh to begin your weekend.

“Jade Helm 15” is a huge, two month military training exercise which will send special forces and members of every military branch into our nation’s southwestern states – where the soldiers can practice field operations (including infiltration) in “hostile territory.” And even though the exercise doesn’t begin until July 15, it’s already a huge success because the territories involved are getting hostile.

This is especially true in Hope n’ Change’s home state of Texas, which is now being widely ridiculed and laughed at (trigger warning: the link takes you to MSNBC) as the home of tinfoil ten-gallon hat conspiracies about Jade Helm and a potential federal invasion of the state. The Conservative Comic doesn’t buy the conspiracy theories because he doesn’t think America’s military would ever turn on its own people. Still, y’all really shouldn’t be laughing at Texans and thinking they’re crazy.

Jodi Miller at Newsbusted takes us into the weekend with these headlines: The big win in the UK for Conservatives, Obama’s Cinco de Mayo celebration, and the ISIS death threat against Pamela Geller for her “Draw Muhammad” contest. Additional stories include: Tom Brady and “Deflate-gate,” the lack of enthusiasm for Hillary Clinton in Hollywood, and Bernie Sanders’ presidential run. She wraps up her show with a story about how Baltimore will be the new location for next season’s “Survivor” TV show.

ISIS has purportedly re-opened the Ninawa International Hotel in Mosul, Iraq, after militants sympathetic to their cause overtook it. According to the Independent newspaper, the hotel has 262 rooms, ballrooms and restaurants. Check out this very funny video from Reason TV promoting this event.

Hozier has a song (Take Me To Church) attacking Roman Catholics for their morals and their position homosexuality. AlfonZo Rachel thinks the attacks are wrong, and wonders why Hozier does not hold Islam to the same standards. Learn more on this week’s ZoNation.
