Rick Warren Embraces “Chrislamity” (Update)

Last week, I was one of many bloggers who posted a story about the apparent acceptance of a new false religion called “Chrislam” – which takes the beliefs of Christianity and mixes it with the Muslim religion - by the Purpose Driven Pastor, Rick Warren. This week, Warren responded to the accusation on his website, Pastors.com. Personally, I was unimpressed with the “interview.” Clearly, the questions were set-up questions meant to allow Warren to answer the way he wanted. There was nothing “journalistic” about the questions or the response. I’ll leave it up to you if you want to believe it, but I still…

Rick Warren Embraces “Chrislamity”

Hey, who says Jesus needed to give up his equality with God to become a man, and then lay down His life to restore all of mankind to Himself? Muhammad apparently is no different than He is, at least according to Rick Warren. The Rev. Rick Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest and one of America’s most influential Christian leaders, has embarked on an effort to heal divisions between evangelical Christians and Muslims by partnering with Southern California mosques and proposing a set of theological principles that includes acknowledging that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. Islam A Religion Of Peace. . . Or Something

And hey, it’s a tolerant one too. Even though the Apologist-in-Chief sent a personal message to Afghan President Hamid Karzi  for the burning of jihadist notebooks masquerading as copies of the Quran, two U.S. troops were shot to death and four more wounded by an Afghan solider who turned his gun on his allies in apparent anger over the burning. President Obama sent Afghan President Hamid Karzai a letter on Thursday apologizing for the alleged burning of Korans at a U.S. military base, Karzai’s office confirmed on its website. “I wish to express my deep regret for the reported incident,” Obama wrote. “I…

ESPN – Chink In The Armor Only The Beginning

Using a rather common sports idiom cost one ESPN employee his job and resulted in the 30-day suspension of another when the term “chink in the armor” was used over the weekend in a discussion that involved NBA star Jeremy Lin, who just happens to be of Asian decent. Let’s forget for a moment that we are a country of AMERICANS, not hyphenated-AMERICANS (i.e. Asian-American, African-American, etc.) and focus on the real issue involved in this situation according to ESPN. In America, it’s not only inappropriate to use words that have been determined to be racially insensitive (such as the famous “n” word), but it’s…

I Agree With John Kerry

In a refreshing change of heart, it appears that John Kerry added another flip-flop to his long list of double-minded positions on an issue, but this time he was right in doing so and I agree with his new position. In an interview on MSNBC ‘s “Morning Joe” program, Sir Flips-Alot expressed his displeasure with the political movement his fellow progressives have come to call “Tea Party Terrorists” by suggesting that the media put aside any concerns about “fairness” and simply censor the views of those who identify with the Tea Party. This is contrary to his previous position concerning the issue of fairness in the…
