Ebola: An excuse for racism?

In 2008, those on the left held up Barack Hussein Obama as a candidate who presented an opportunity for America to elect a post-racial President; a man who could bring healing to a nation wounded by a history of racial division. Yet, from Attorney General Eric Holder to Obama himself, we have been fed a steady diet of race-baiting politics meant to silence anyone who dared to criticize or disagree with the man Louis Farrakhan once hailed as the messiah. Disagree with Obama, for any reason, and get branded a racist—particularly if you are a Republican. The latest example of…

Shouldn’t we be fighting a war on terrorism not on fossil fuels?

“You are responsible for President Obama’s re-election,” I told 150 folks from the oil and gas industry —most of whom were conservative Republicans. I spoke to them on October 15 in San Angelo, TX. A reporter covering the event wrote that I “stunned the crowd by telling them they were largely responsible for getting the president re-elected, and asking them if they knew how they had helped.” He continued: “The room was very quiet for several moments as Noon waited to see if anyone would volunteer an answer.” We know President Obama has been waging a war on coal—with tens…

Speak out against tyranny

It was just a few days ago that I wrote about the tyranny Americans now live under from the judicial, executive, and legislative branches of the federal government. Now comes word of more tyrannical behavior by the government from Houston, TX. and the pro-homosexual city council and mayor. In a clear case of government bullying, the city of Houston has issued subpoenas to a group of pastors requesting any sermons they’ve written that cover the subject of homosexuality, gender identity, or mention of Annise Parker, the city’s first openly lesbian mayor. The subpoenas came after pastors protested against Houston’s new non-discrimination ordinance…

Regcession—why Americans aren’t feeling Obama’s “vigorous recovery”

President Obama is trying, according to CNN, to “convince voters of a vigorous recovery that a majority still doubts.” Describing comments the president made on October 2 at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in Chicago, CNN calls his attempt, the “political problem inherent in having to describe an economic recovery that many Americans still aren’t feeling.” The coverage points to polling data that shows the public still sees that the economy is “poor”—with 56 percent disapproving of how Obama has handled the economy. Perhaps people are beginning to sense what a new documentary makes clear. We may not officially…

Texas scores one over environmental extremists

“When the Dunes Sagebrush Lizard (DSL) was being considered for listing under the Endangered Species Act (ESA),” Chris Bryan, agency spokesman for the Texas Comptroller, told me, “significant parts of the Texas economy were placed at risk.” On September 30, District of Columbia District Court Judge Rudolph Contreras ruled against the Center for Biological Diversity (CBD) and the Defenders of Wildlife. The groups brought litigation in the hopes of requiring the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) to reverse its 2012 decision not to list the lizard as endangered. The 2012 decision was the first time that community engagement beat back…
