Operation Bradley Effect: Trump’s “undercover voter” plan for victory

Voting booth

As poll numbers continue to show a likely Hillary Clinton victory in November, Kellyanne Conway, the third campaign manager in as many months on the SS Trumptanic, has just announced a highly secretive plan designed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat under the code name “Operation Bradley Effect.”

In an interview with Britain’s public television station Channel 4—I guess Sean Hannity was busy at the time—Conway, who is herself a pollster, told the passengers on the Trump train to ignore The Donald’s lagging numbers because she has successfully created a secret weapon sure to bring victory . . . the “undercover voter.”

“Donald Trump performs consistently better in online polling where a human being is not talking to another human being about what he or she may do in the elections . . . it’s become socially desirable, especially if you’re a college-educated person in the US, to say you’re against Donald Trump.

“People who are supporting Donald Trump who have not voted Republican in the past, who have not voted for quite a while, are so tired of arguing with family and friends and colleagues about their support of Donald Trump that they just decided not to discuss it.”

That’s right, America! Trump’s secret weapon, the undercover voter, is so convinced that the NY Liberal with an “R” after his name is the right person at the right time for the right job that they will choose to lie or stay silent in order to make sure he wins.

By the way, the Bradley Effect, the inspiration that gave Conway’s undercover voter scheme its name, comes from the 1982 gubernatorial race in California. In that race, Tom Bradley (who was black) lost to George Deukmejian (who was white), despite polling that showed Bradley would win. This has since been proven to be untrue, and most pundits today consider it inapplicable to Donald Trump’s campaign.

Meanwhile, Kellyanne Conway will continue to seek out her undercover voters—although I don’t know how she’ll find them—that she says will bring victory to Donald Trump in November.

*DISCLAIMER* Operation Bradley Effect is satire and does not really exist; however, everything else contained in this piece is true. And the names have not been changed because no one in election 2016 is innocent.
