Another U.S. appeals court rules against Second Amendment

Gun - Constitution - FlagThe assault on our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms continues to advance through our increasingly liberal judicial system. It was just last week that we learned about a ruling by the D.C. Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals where they reversed a lower court ruling where the requirement for D.C. residents to provide a “good reason” for requesting a concealed-carry permit was ruled unconstitutional. In addition, language in the law stating that the government “may issue” the permit also found to be in violation of the Constitution.

Now comes word from the left-coast of a similar ruling by the Ninth Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals in San Fransisco. The 11-judge panel ruled 7-4 to set aside a 2014 lower court ruling that had determined that San Diego County’s process for issuing concealed-carry permits was unconstitutional. As was the case in D.C., the San Diego County law required applicants to provide “good cause” for their request. In addition, it also contained the same “may issue” determination.

As I mentioned in the D.C. case, the people involved with it are verifiably liberal–including the judges–with connections in the federal government. The San Diego County case is no exception.

The California Attorney General who filed the appeal with the Ninth Circuit is none other than Kamala Harris. If that name isn’t familiar to you yet, it soon will be. She is a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat who is the front-runner for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by another anti-gun liberal, Barbara Boxer. And she has a long history of looking for ways to void the Second Amendment.

By the way, Harris isn’t alone on this issue as we approach the upcoming election. Hillary Clinton recently refused to acknowledge that owning a gun is a constitutional right.

And a woman by the name of Bonnie Schaefer, a progressive business woman working on the Democrat platform, recently went on record about how guns should be banned entirely.

The election in November is probably the most significant we’ve had in generations as it pertains to protecting our constitutional rights, including races for congressional and state level offices, as this gun issue continues to prove.
